The new natural gas transmission pipeline between Datteln and Herne is a key component of energy supply in the Ruhr region of Germany. For this project, we supplied high-quality steel pipes for a 23 km pipeline. The pipeline connects STEAG GmbH’s modern combined-cycle gas and steam turbine power plant and supports the transition from coal to more climate-friendly energy sources. In this way, the project makes an important contribution to the energy transition and to ensuring a sustainable energy supply.
