The Porthos project is one of Europe’s first major CCS initiatives and enables the capture and permanent storage of CO₂ from the Port of Rotterdam beneath the North Sea. In doing so, it makes a key contribution to the decarbonization of industry and the development of future CO₂ infrastructure. Mannesmann Grossrohr supports this key project by supplying steel pipes for the safe transport of CO₂ – designed to meet the highest standards when it comes to leak-tightness, reliability, and long-term durability.
