The pipeline between the Marl chemical industrial park and the Gelsenkirchen refinery site strengthens the industrial materials flow system in the Ruhr region in Germany. BP Gelsenkirchen and Evonik Industries jointly constructed the pipeline to efficiently transport heating gas for the plants’ energy supply. Mannesmann supplied line pipes for an 80 km pipeline for gas, pressurized liquefied gases, and liquids. The project underscores the importance of modern pipeline infrastructure for integrated chemical and refinery sites.
