This innovative waste-to-energy incineration plant – built using steel pipes and MSH® square and rectangular sections from Mannesmann Line Pipe – sets new standards with its spectacular architecture: As a 100 m tall landmark featuring ski and snowboard slopes, it uniquely combines energy generation with recreational activities. The project involved a wide range of profile dimensions, lengths, and wall thicknesses – some of which were produced in single-unit batches – placing the highest demands on flexibility in both production and planning. In total, approximately 800 t of steel tubes and sections were manufactured for the complex load-bearing structure.
