Further Information

Lengths

The following delivery lengths are distinguished:

a) Mill lengths between 8 and 18 m are manufactured according to customer requirements. Due to the production process, minor manufacturing tolerances must be considered.

b) Fixed lengths with a permissible deviation from the ordered length of ± 500 mm. Up to 5–10% of the delivery quantity may deviate from the specified fixed length.

c) Exact lengths with the possibility to agree on tight tolerances for the ordered length.

Low CO2 Steel Grades

Together with our prematerial suppliers, Mannesmann Line Pipe GmbH is driving the transition towards a climate-neutral future. We are happy to advise you on our steel pipe solutions made from steel with a reduced carbon footprint.

Testing

Our products are distinguished with

the label „OUR Sustainable Solutions“

Reduced Carbon Footprint

Compared to our conventionally produced input material, which currently has a CO₂ footprint of around 2.1 t CO₂ per tonne of steel, our seamless, cold-drawn precision steel tubes in various standard grades are based on input material produced with a CO₂ reduction of more than 50%. As a result, the Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) of these seamless, cold-drawn precision steel tubes is significantly reduced.

We calculate PCFs using a methodology verified by TÜV Süd and are happy to provide this information upon request.

Your Benefits

You benefit directly from the transition of our upstream material route through a reduction of emissions in Scope 3 of your greenhouse gas accounting.

For further information on our CO₂ reduction measures and the sustainability of our production processes, our sustainability team will be happy to assist you.

External coating

Upon customer request, products can be provided with a temporary external corrosion protection coating.

Internal coatings / Linings

Flow Coat

Our standard solution, Flow Coat, provides a smooth surface, reduces friction losses, and supports efficient pipeline operation.

Additional solutions on request

Further internal coating systems – for example from partners such as NOV – are available on a project-specific basis, tailored to the respective media and application requirements.

End preparation and protection, joining technologies

As standard, pipes are supplied with plain ends in accordance with the applicable specifications. Upon customer request, weld bevels can be prepared to suit the intended welding procedure, and the pipe ends can be fitted with plastic caps to provide protection during handling, storage, and transportation.

Processing options

Exact lengths

Our pipes are supplied directly from production in lengths ranging from 8 to 18 meters. This enables efficient installation with reduced welding effort and optimized on-site logistics.

For applications with specific installation requirements or limited space, shorter pipe lengths can also be provided via our Pipe Service Center.

This ensures that our products not only meet the highest quality standards but also integrate seamlessly into your project workflows.

Beveling according to customer requirements

For optimal further processing and reliable welding, we offer a variety of bevel designs. The execution is carried out individually in accordance with customer specifications and tailored to the respective application and selected joining technology.

This ensures that our pipes not only meet the highest quality standards but also integrate seamlessly into your project workflows.

Delivery and shipping

Mannesmann Line Pipe sees itself as a competent logistics partner whose responsibility goes beyond the proper and safe transportation of its products. Our objective is to ensure a safe and efficient logistics chain – from the mill to the agreed destination. In doing so, we place particular emphasis on minimizing environmental impact and reducing greenhouse gas emissions as much as possible.

When selecting logistics service providers, we focus on quality and reliability. This ensures that your orders are delivered worldwide on time and in top condition.

Our logistics services are characterized by:

  • Professional logistical support for your projects from initial inquiry through to delivery

  • Optimal selection of transport modes (truck, rail, and ship) based on cost efficiency and, in particular, environmental considerations

  • TÜV SÜD-certified load securing for truck transport

  • Expert support in the selection of storage locations and transport routes
