Our innovative materials combine maximum performance with significant weight reduction โ for both conventional powertrains and electric vehicles. Mannesmannโs KSG1000 high-performance steel offers approximately 20% higher strength with about 20% less weight, enabling more efficient drivetrain designs. Materials such as 23MnCrMo5 for intermediate shafts or 45MnB5 for side shafts deliver high torque almost instantly, thereby allowing for more compact, lighter transmissions.
